might be to drill holes FOR the screws/bolts that hold onto the sprocket to give them more grip... I've really had some that just didn't want to come off... I mean I torched them, banged on them, pryed on them, you name it... and the cutoff was last resort... which sucks, because you've already wasted so much time trying to get it off. Other option is to drill/tap two bolts to the front and literally use a steering wheel/bearing puller sort of remover to get it off. I guess they're all equally annoying... =/
